Which browser should I use to access the Data Gateway?
The Data Gateway was developed for the latest versions of the most popular browsers. It is still functional with older versions, but some pages may not be displayed properly. The browser must support encryption.
What is the web site certificate?
The web site certificate is designed to protect and authenticate our site. The certificate is used to encrypt the data you are exchanging with our site to keep it safe from interception or tampering technology.
Who can use the Data Gateway?
Organizations doing business with Service Canada and ESDC that require a tool to exchange information.
How can I register to use the Data Gateway?
If you require usage of the Data Gateway, please contact your program representative.
How do I change my password?
If you are using AppGate, please contact your program representative to request a password change. Otherwise, you can access the Change Password page from the main menu. For more instructions, please use the Help screens available on each page.
How many files can I upload at once and what is the maximum size of a file?
Depending on the program, the number of files that can be shared at the same time can be between 1-50, and the maximum file size is 100MB.
What do I have to do if the file upload was not successful?
If an error occurs during the file transfer, please try resending the file that wasn't properly uploaded. If the error occurs again, please contact your program representative.
If I have a rejected file or a file containing errors, what do I do?
Please view the detailed error report provided on the file’s Upload History Details page and make the necessary corrections in your system before resending the file.
Can I share my account with other users?
No. Accounts should only be used by one(1) user only. Sharing accounts is prohibited.
